Metal back splash

by Angie

I wanted to put up a metal back splash. I have seen them before but I don't know what to look for or where to buy 'em. What does everybody recommend? I really want copper. Thanks all.

Copper and stainless backsplash
by: Toby (webmaster)

Copper is quite expensive and very hard to keep looking new. If you are not concerned about the patina then I say go for it.

Copper tiles and sheet are available for back splashes. For tiles I would recommend eBay or one of the "big boxes". If you order from the boxes most do not stock these but can be special ordered.

For the sheet, you will need to get a local fabricator to install it. The cost will be steep and time consuming.

Another idea you may want to consider is stainless steel. Armstrong has a good selection of panels available and are readily available from the "big boxes". Plus you can put them up yourself and save yourself some money.

Either way you decide to go will be great, and very original. Please come back and post a pic with the results.
